How it Works

ORGANAMAX® is a naturally cultivated, diverse microbial soil conditioning blend containing four types of microbe specie groups: bacteria, fungi, archaea, and algae, plus over 100 different individual microbe species. Moreover, ORGANAMAX® contains both Plant-Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) and Mycorrhiza Helping Bacteria (MHB) that contribute to the growth, health, and yield of plants, crops, and trees.

PGPR?

Bacteria that colonize plant roots and promote plant growth are referred to as Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) and are found in the rhizosphere (“rhizo” = root, “sphere” = area surrounding). It’s an area of intense microbial activity that is influenced by compounds secreted by the root and by microorganisms feeding on the compounds.

Given a healthy balance of supply and demand, these beneficial bacteria work by increasing nutrient uptake (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and essential minerals) and modulating plant hormone levels.

What About Mycorrhiza?

Mycorrhiza is the term used to describe the symbiotic relationship between Mycorrhizal Fungi and a plant’s root system.

Plants don’t grow roots in search of soil nutrients. The nutrients must get to the root to be absorbed. How? Natural fungi in the soil integrate with plant roots to form a network of micro-root hairs which facilitate and enhance nutrient absorption. The greater surface area generated by the additional root hairs accelerates the rate and volume of nutrient uptake.

Mycorrhizal fungi that occur naturally in soil are often depleted by cultivation, chemical use, compaction, or topsoil erosion; ORGANAMAX® re-introduces the Mycorrhiza Helping Bacteria (MHBs) to the soil.

The Recipe

The ORGANAMAX® proprietary blend includes a cocktail of select bacteria including: Bacillus Pumilus, Bacillus Coagulans, Bacillus Subtilis, Paenibacillus Polymyxa, Gliociadium, Rhodococcus Globerulus, and Streptomyces Griseuiriolis.

Each organism family contributes a specific role in the support of plant health and the prevention of disease. This balanced formula is designed to decompose organic matter, fixate nitrogen, and encapsulate salts to reduce soil salinity. Furthermore, algae in ORGANAMAX® fixate nitrogen in soil and solubilize phosphates to liberate phosphorus in soil that can easily be assimilated by plants. The microorganisms are key players in the cycling of nitrogen, sulfur, and phosphorus, and the decomposition of organic residues.

A Well-Oiled Machine...

It has been noted that one teaspoon of bare soil contains more microorganisms than there are humans on the planet. Given these numbers, this is a natural, macro-population of opportunity to optimize plant health. The mechanics of plants, fungi, bacteria, algae and archaea working together in any application presents endless possibilities for agriculture, gardens, and global landscape. Seize the opportunity… one cup of dirt at a time.

ORGANAMAX®…. Grow Better. Naturally.
